3rd Event -  Örkelljunga, 27th-29th April2017

The 3rd event of the CLOE, hosted by IFALL, has been held in Orkejlunga (Sweden) from the 27th to 29th April with the participation of delegations from Estonia, Germany, Italy, Poland, Malta and Greece.

The event has seen also the participation of different young volunteers of the European Voluntary Service. The topic of the event was the integration in the European labour market systems of the immigrants and refugees.

During the day has been analyzed the different European strategies and policies of integration.  The event opened with the greetings from the representatives of IFALL and MR Giuseppe Cappai, President of Focus Europe.

In the first part of the event MR Nicola Saluzzo from Diaconia Valdese, as expert, presented the European strategies and policies to foster the integration of immigrants in the labour market, by highlighting the importance of the socio-economic integration in the society.

The different delegates presented the situation in their countries and discussed about the best practices and possible new way of integration at local level.

In the second part of the day has been organized a visit in the refugee centre of Orkejlunga. Participants had the opportunity to discuss and interact with young refugees arrived in Sweden in the last years, about their expectations and dreams. The work continued with the intervention of a city councillor of the Municipality of Orkejlunga, who talked about the Swedish system of integration and about the activity of the Municipality in order to integrate the immigrants and refugees in the labour market.  In the afternoon has been held a workshop/Round Table coordinated by an expert, Anna Golzio, where participants have had the opportunity to discuss and debate about the situation in EU and on the importance to develop a system of integration in the labour market who allow an effective integration of third country nationals which are often low skilled and at risk of poverty and social exclusion in the different European countries.

The event finished with a discussion about the next event of the project and with a social dinner where participants continued the discussion.
